I also liked how the villains were relatable. I was happy with the revelation of a character that I’ve been wondering about since book 1. Also, a certain main character’s sub story was underwhelming until towards the end, and then there’s the under utilization of a character especially after what happened in the last book. We still don’t know much about a character’s ability. There were a lot of things going on at different locations, yet it felt like nothing really progressed. The first 60% or so was quite slow for me.

It feels strange.Įven though I liked it in the end, it actually took me quite a while to feel the story. It was quite harrowing lol!īut though I know I go now to my duty, some old part of me twinges, reaches out to whatever it is that I have lost. Just when I thought that there might be a glimmer of hope, it got crushed down, over and over again until I wondered how much more could these characters take.
